The HR Project Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the project plans, documentation and associated materials for a wide range of HR projects under the direction of the CHRO. This role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and documentation, and ensuring the successful execution of HR initiatives, and the development of related communications plans. This role requires strong project management skills, communication skills, and an understanding of HR functions, policies and processes.   

 

Compensation range: $72,000/annual - $75,000/annual

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans (with scope objectives, deliverables, metrics and milestone), status reports, meeting minutes, and decision logs.
  • Proactively identify and solve any potential roadblocks or challenges that may impact project delivery.
  • Ensure that projects are executed in accordance with established project plans, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams through project documentation, meetings and progress measurement activities which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.

Process Documentation

  • Create and maintain SOP’s, work instructions, and related process documentation for all processes and policies under the remit of the People Department.
  • Contribute to the development and design of new policies and work processes, and proactively identify needs for updates and enhancements to ensure compliance with labor laws and accuracy.

Communications

  • Create and maintain related process documentation for HR programs, policies and processes.
  • Coordinate robust communications plans in partnership with our internal stakeholders to provide regular progress against key initiatives.
  • Coordinate and maintain robust communications plans for ongoing, regular and annual processes such as Open Enrollment, Performance Management, Compensation Cycles
  • Coordinate and maintain information and documentation on employee facing on demand platforms such as Sharepoint for the People Department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Project Management Certification is required.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, and preferably with a focus on HR projects.
  • Good working knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Change management expertise is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and cross-functional environment.
